The presence of dogs in a school setting has been shown to have a number of benefits for children. Dogs can provide comfort and companionship, which helps to reduce stress and anxiety levels. In addition, dogs can help to promote physical activity and social interaction among children. Furthermore, dogs can serve as a positive role model for children, teaching them about responsibility and caregiving. All of these factors can contribute to a more positive and productive learning environment.
Buddy's PALS is offered to educational institutions at no cost. Our organization partners with schools, universities and colleges, and libraries in Michigan. Teachers and organization staff with dogs are welcome to apply as Buddy's PALS handlers to potentially bring their dogs into their organization!
